John is survived by his son, John Short, and his wife Jennifer, his daughter Kelly Newberry, and her husband Brad, as well as his sister Brenda Teasley. His grandchildren, Hannah Marie Short, John Austin Short, Mary Tod Braswell, Emma Newberry, Hank Newberry, and Cannon Parker Short, were a constant source of pride and love for him.
