Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III was born on 24. December 1946 in Selma, Alabama. His father’s name was Jefferson Beauregard Jr. while his mother’s name was Abbie Powe. Jeff Sessions briefly returned to private practice before being elected Attorney General of Alabama in 1994. He remained in that position until he submitted a successful bid for the Senate in 1997.After his first election victory, Sessions won three terms of re-election and a total of 20 years in the Senate.
